Welcome to Zhangjiajie, a city located in northwest of Hunan Province. On arrival, your guide will meet you and then transfer you to your hotel.
It is about 1 hour from the city center to Zhangjiajie Scenic Area, and you will take a cable car in Yangjiajie and visit Natural Great Wall, Tianbo Mansion, and Corridor in Air.
In this scenic area, the mountains and places are named after the members of the Yang Family to commemorate their loyalty as they safeguarded the country over four generations during the Northern Dynasty. It will take about 3 hours to visit most of attractions on the top of the mountains in Yangjiajie.
After that take a shuttle bus to go down the hill, and wander for about 90 minutes in the valley of Golden Whip Brook. Surrounded by lush vegetation and traveling through a steep fall, the stream meanders through deep and serene ravines. This place exudes poetic quality. Hence it is called by some “the most beautiful ravine in the world”.
Take a shuttle bus to the exit, and go to Wulinyuan District.
Overnight in Wulinyuan.
We pick you up from your hotel and drive to Zhangjiajie Scenic Area. Take the cable car to the Emperor Mountain to admire the picturesque view.
The Emperor Mountain ranks as the tallest Sandstone Forest Landform, being 1262.5 meters above sea level. This very dense sandstone forest landform displays fantastic beauty right in front of you. Its gorgeous sites include grotesque peaks, sheer drops, and precipitous falls, and is described as “a small Fairyland”.
It takes about 30 minutes from Emperor Mountain to Yuanjiajie. Bask in the pleasure of visiting Backyard Garden, Puzzling (Mihun) Crag, the First Bridge and the famous Nantian Pillar that was the shooting location of the Hallelujah Mountain in the movie “Avatar.”
And then walk to the Upper Station of Bailong Elevator; take the highest elevator in the world to go down the hill within 3 minutes.
Overnight downtown Zhangjiajie.
Take the longest cable way in the world to Tianmen Mountain en-route to Tongtian Avenue. Look down from the cable car; you will see a splendid scene of a road with 99 bends. When you arrive on the top of the mountain, you may then like to take a short cable way to Tianmen Mountain Temple, and then go to the plank road alongside Guigu Cliffs. In this way, you will save much time and energy.
There is a 5-meter-long glass-bottomed platform at the highest point of the plank road. You can stand on the platform to experience that feeling of cliff suspension. Go ahead, the Glass Trail spans 60 meters with 1430 meters above sea level encircling the vertical cliffs. It will take your breath away!
To Finish the skywalk you could hike about 30 minutes from the Glass Trail to Tianmen Cave.
The Tianmen Cave is shrouded in mist and clouds all year around. The beautiful view will vary in different weather; sometimes it covered by clouds, sometimes sunlight glows through the cave.
Go down the hill by shuttle bus, and return downtown. At end of the day, you will be transferred to the airport.
