Full Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival, Discover the local neighborhoods

Welcome to the Far East! Your tour guide will meet you at the arrival hall of Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). Transfer to your hotel near the Forbidden City, check-in and relax.

After a break at your hotel, you can jump onto a bicycle to explore the local neighborhoods, or Hutong. It is a maze of historic alleyways with single-story traditional courtyard houses. You have a chance to visit one of the courtyards, talk to the host and experience their daily life.

A welcome dinner will be served for you. Try the most famous dish in Beijing: Peking Roast Duck.

Day 02: Beijing, Local Company Visit (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

You are going to visit 2-3 China based companies today. A representative from each company will give you a brief introduction and show you around in the company. Following that, you will attend a short presentation and Q&A sessions. The companies we select include a Chinese Crowdfunding Company, an online education company, a manufacturing industry, and a leading start-up incubator.

Pay a visit to the Bird’s Nest Stadium and Water Cube in Olympic Park in the afternoon. They are representatives of China’s modern architecture.

Day 03: Beijing, Great Wall Hiking (B, L, D)

We have selected a remote, less crowded and unrestored section of the Great Wall for you. Hike on one of the 7 Wonders of this planet, the picturesque view of the Wall is worth the 3-hour climb. A picnic lunch will be prepared on the Wall. Enjoy the picnic on the bricks which have a history of a thousand years.

Day 04: Beijing to Shanghai, Heritage Walk and Bullet Train Experience (B, L, D)

With a history of more than 600 years, the Forbidden City has also been known as the Palace Museum. More than 40 thousand people visit the Forbidden City every day. Fortunately, CET has prepared a guide expert and an off-the-beaten-path tour for you. The Heritage Walk Program will avoid the crowds and give you more detailed information about the Museum.

Pay a visit to Tiananmen Square to see the biggest square on earth. Enjoy your lunch in a special vegetarian restaurant and then board a high speed bullet train to Shanghai.

Day 05: Shanghai, AmCham & China Factory Visit (B, L, D)

Today is another highlight of your business focus trip. Meet the representative from AmCham, the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, followed by a Q&A session and learn how to make business with a Chinese company and Chinese people. You also can learn how a western company operates in China.

The afternoon is a fulfilling factory tour. You are going to visit the Volkswagen factory in Shanghai and the biggest steel factory in China. Meet the representatives, walk through the workshops and join in a Q&A session. Be amazed by China’s manufacturing industry.

Day 06: Shanghai, Discover the City Highlights (B, L, D)

Take the high speed elevator to the top of Oriental Pearl Tower, have a bird’s eye view of this metropolis. Head over to Yuyuan Market, you will be amazed by the hundreds of types of Chinese food. Walk through the Yuyuan Garden and prepare to be educated about a classic Chinese garden. The pools, corridors, pavilions and rockeries will remind you of a typical Chinese painting. In the late afternoon, walk on the Bund and see both the old and modern Shanghai.

Day 07: Departure (B)

Your tour guide and driver will meet you at the hotel lobby and transfer you to the airport.
