Huangshan Culture and Landscape Tour in 4 Days

On arrival in Huangshan city, you will first go to a handicraft workshop to do a handmade HuiZhou style incense pendant with Chinese herbs, which is one of the traditional Chinese incense forms. With natural herbs as raw materials, you will make incense pendants by hand following the instruction of a master step by step. The process includes mud forming, molding-die and gold drawing. It has magical effect that is very helpful in terms of sleep and immune system improvement. You can keep it as your souvenir after finishing. It is fun and will be an unforgettable experience of your Huangshan trip.

Today you are going to explore the Yellow Mountains.
Take the Yungu cable car up to the middle of the mountain and start your visit from the north sea scenic area, which is the hinterland of Yellow Mountains. You will pass by the White Goose Peak, Beginning-to-Believe Peak, Black Tiger Pine and the Bright Summit, which is the second highest peak of the Yellow Mountains and the boundary between the front mountain and the back mountain. Fill yourself at Bai Yun Hotel.

Continue heading to the Baiyun scenic area, you will first arrive at Qunfeng Peak, where you can look out over many mountains' peak points. Flying-over Rock is not far ahead. It is the greatest wonder that a huge stone is standing on the rock platform. The Cloud-dispelling Pavilion is the entrance of the Xihai Grand Canyon which is a newly developed scenic spot. The splendid landscape of the Xihai Grand Canyon is definitely the highlight and no other scenic areas are comparable. The 1st ring, 2nd ring, and even the bottom of the canyon, are on your optional hiking route. (Note: the Xihai Grand Canyon is closed to public from 1st Dec to 31st Mar for winter maintenance.)

The Grotesque Rocks on the Yellow Mountains

If there is a state of high visibility outdoors, it is recommended that you get up early at around 04:00 am to see the gorgeous sunrise on the mountain.
On the second day of the Yellow Mountains, you will go back to the north sea scenic area to explore some more. The Lion Peak is your first stop. You can see the famous sight of A Monkey Gaping at the Sea on this peak. Next is the Flower Grown out of A Writing Brush Rock. There is an ancient pine growing on the peak point, with twists and turns, like flowers in full bloom. The Pen Rack Peak is right next to it. Finally you will take the cable car down from the mountain and transfer to a shuttle bus back to the ticket office.

Lunch will be served in Tangkou town. After lunch, we will take you to Hongcun Village by road for around one hour. The old houses of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in this village are a typical example of Huizhou architecture. The black tiles and white walls make the village look like a Chinese landscape painting. Its location and overall layout rely on the water resource. The planning and design of the artificial water system inside and outside the village is quite delicate and ingenious. You will visit South Lake, South Lake Academy, JingDe Hall, Moon Pond, LeXu Hall, ChengZhi Hall and so on.
At the end of the day, we will take you to the Pig's Inn to check-in. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the city and is worth it to stay more nights.

Start the hike from Hongcun Qisu Lake, you will spend around 2.5 hours to get to the destination – Xidi Valley of the love birds. Total length is 8.2 km and it is suitable for most of travelers to participate. In the ancient times, it was the main road for Hui merchants and students heading to the north and the only access between Hongcun Village and Xidi Village. On this path various insects and plants will accompany you along. This is a quiet valley that has no dust, no cars, no phone signal, and makes you focus on this moment.
