Please gather at Yizhi Hotel (Guangzhou Dafo Temple Beijing Road Metro Station Branch) at 17:30 to meet your guide, after which the tour will begin.
First, you will arrive at Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, a time-honored commercial center in Guangzhou. The Millennium Ancient Road Ruins lie right beneath your feet. Through the glass covers, you can see road surfaces and craftsmanship from different dynasties, such as the sandstone roads of the Tang Dynasty, blue brick roads of the Song Dynasty, and yellow sandstone slab roads of the Ming and Qing dynasties. You can also view relics including Song Dynasty gateways and stone door sills, experiencing the profound weight of history.
Continuing along the pedestrian street, you will soon reach Dafo Temple. The buildings inside the temple combine the official architectural styles of the Ming and Qing dynasties with Lingnan local characteristics. The Mahavira Hall is majestic, and the temple also houses facilities such as a Buddhist library and a vegetarian restaurant. When lit up at night, the temple glows splendidly, making it one of Guangzhou’s iconic night views.
